Lawmaker's challenge to presidentiables (2:11 p.m.)

MANILA -- Ilocos Norte Representative Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. dared the 2010 presidentiables to address the issue of high electricity rate and agrarian reform.

Marcos said that those running for the presidential race should present concrete solutions to both problems if they want to win the hearts of the voters, especially the poor.

He also said that a presidential candidate "must be willing to stop Meralco (Manila Electric Company) from imposing high electricity rates and should be ready to stand against big landlords by implementing the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (Carp).

The congressman urged the public not to vote candidates who will refuse to entertain these issues. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
