EPSON Philippines Corp. is confident that the year 2009 will end on a positive note with sales growing by as much as 10 percent even as economies still reek from the global financial crisis.
"2009 is good, we have record sales for our entry level products," Eduardo Bonoan, senior general manager for sales and marketing of EPC, said in Thursday's press conference, timed for the first Epson Davao Convention.

The convention, staged at the Marco Polo Davao grand ballroom, showcased the wide range of digital imaging portfolio of the company to its invited guests from the business sector.
The event was aimed to present a setting wherein targeted buyers can actually access the world-class technology offered by Epson.
"Its our way of giving a different approach to tap the market, instead of using the mass advertisements, we will have more conventions that will also educate the market on the products and solutions that we have," Bonoan said. "Mass advertising has a very hazy return of investments, compared to the set up of a convention like this one."
One of the positive results of the convention, according to Bonoan, is the creation of closer relationships with the end-users, dealers, and channel partners.
During the first Epson Davao Convention, the brand showcased its top of the line solutions including digital imaging printers, projectors, and scanners. (CPM)
