LOCAL cultural buffs will be happy to know that the Zonta Club of Cebu One will be marking their ruby anniversary with a smashing fundraising dinner fashion show on Sunday, Nov. 8, at Marco Polo Plaza Hotel. Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. Show starts at 8 p.m.

Glamour and Glitz 2 will unfold with a blazing touch of ruby red! According to Zonta One member Mila Espina—who has conceptualized, and directed the
show—beneficiaries will be the Adopt-A-School Program and other projects of the club.

The pattern for the most-awaited social event of the year, the Bachelors Femina Club annual ball, has been set and details are now ready for announcement. Prime mover and Bachelors-Femina Alumnae president Perla A. Peterson has left no stone unturned to ensure the success of this years Holy Innocent’s Day Ball on Dec. 28, a Monday, at the Casino Español de Cebu Salon de España. The much-awaited formal affair will have Mama and Papa, Doña Mariquita Salimbangon-Yeung and Vice Mayor Michael Rama.

Here’s earth-shaking, cultural news from the 23rd Macau International Music Festival, which is in full swing now till Nov. 8. Presented by Macau’s Cultural Affairs Bureau, with the enthusiastic support of the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO), the festival has gathered internationally renowned artists to Macau such as the Vienna Boys Choir, the Delfins, Italian singers Dana Masiero and Elena Belfiore, etc. Closing the festival on Nov. 6-8 is Mozarts “Le Nozze Di Figaro” by the San Francisco Opera. It’s not too late to catch up.
