CEBUANO spitfire Robert Labagala ignited an 18-7 first quarter blitz to lead the Quezon Red Oilers to an emphatic 82-64 win over the Gen. Santos-MP Warriors in the wild card phase of the Smart-Liga Pilipinas Conference 3.

Quezon nabbed the first of the final three slots for the Super Leg of Liga Pilipinas, which will be held on Nov. 22 to 29 in Cebu City.

Labagala, a former University of the Visayas player, scored 12 points on top of four rebounds, 11 assists and a steal for the win.

With the entire Red Oilers playing solidly, Quezon had the game out of reach as early as the first half after a 20-10 run.
Quezon led 38-17 at the turn.

The Warriors of Manny Pacquiao continued to struggle in the third as the Red Oilers stretched the gap to 68-40 entering the final frame.
