Gullas graces CCTN’s Sportsworld

THE architect behind the success of the University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers will share his experience in the local sports talk show Sportsworld at 10 tonight on CCTN 47.

Rep. Eddie Gullas, the president of UV, will grace the one-hour weekly sports show hosted by Bobby “Knight” Inoferio.

Gullas is also a former coach who steered the school to the national title over Ateneo de Manila in the 1950s.

He was named the Coach of the Year by the Philippine Sportswriters Association for that title run.

Aside from talking about how UV became the top collegiate team in Cebu City, having won the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. nine straight times, Gullas will also discuss the politics that led to the infighting between the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas and the Basketball Association of the Philippines.

The infighting led to the country’s suspension from international tournaments in 2005.
