Eagle Cement taps Siemens

Siemens Inc. Philippines, an electrical engineering conglomerate and global leader in the field of automation systems, was recently awarded a plant automation project by Eagle Cement Corp., a new player that is building its plant in Ildefonso, Bulacan.

Sun.Star accepts donations for victims of Typhoon Ondoy

The supply contract involves the installation of CEMAT V7, a process control system that Siemens developed for the cement industry. This cutting-edge software provides enhanced productivity, flexibility, and efficiency throughout the entire plant and production lifecycle, thus ensuring Eagle Cement.

The plant is expected to produce 1.5 million metric tons of cement or 35.2 million bags per year, an efficient contribution to the local construction industry today. (PR)
